It's time once again for me to post
these items that have been accumulating in my hopper.
There are some real gems here that I wish I had time to develop further,
whether into full feature pages, or at least a news bullet, posted both in our
news and in the appropriate directory pages.
Generally speaking, we get about twice as much great stuff as I have time to get
around to in a given day, so some really fantastic stuff falls out of the inbox
and gets lost in the shuffle. Sometimes the very best stuff gets tucked
away to get to later, because feature pages take a lot of effort -- especially
the really good ones -- and later never comes.
And, of course, there is likely to be some bogus stuff here, along with some
fraudulent stuff that we've not had the time to sift through yet.
Have fun. There's something here for everyone. Bookmark this page
and come back from time to time. You're not likely to get through all the
stuff you'll find interesting in just one sitting.

Japanese home that the Leaf electric car can power for about two days.

One of the leaders in hydrogen technology, Air Products, has just opened the unique hydrogen fueling
station in
Orange

. Other hydrogen
fueling stations do
exist, but what set this station apart is the source of the power.
Methane that is emitted for the Orange County Sanitation District Wastewater
Facility is converted into hydrogen by this special station. That hydrogen is
then used to power fuel cell vehicles as well as to generate electricity and
heat for the station’s own facilities.

Google just announced that it has

volume, without causing the known wet wall problem. Fuel exposed to
enough air during a needed amount of time for its better physical combination
previous to ignition with the spark plug, and in such an amount that the
combustion flame may reach all mix allowed. This new technology promises a
minimal increase of 40% in the current fuel injection vehicles yield of
fuel, that is, 40% more kilometers per liter, with great probability of
a 100%. It will have a lower CO2 emission (greenhouse gas) and other

I saw a fascinating speech (on tv) by a gentleman on Australian TV, who was
visiting our country to promote something he called "The Blue
Economy".
The Blue Economy, thus titled after the colour of the Earth from space, is one
of the most exciting and fascinating string of ideas with the intent of creating
an intelligently sustainable future while utilising sound business practices to
ensure its success.
One of the topics he covered was in "printing" aluminium components
for Formula One racing componentry with less than 10% waste product, with the
additional benefit of being able to re-use (recycle) that waste for further use.
The method is what he called "pressure printing", which I can only
assume means layering the metal under pressure to assemble the final component.
This gentleman would, I am completely sure, be highly interested in hearing
about your MYT engine project, and given his financial position and his broad
range of contacts and interests, might be the ideal candidate to assist you both
financially and with trusted sources of people who have acumen and skills you
could utalise in your efforts.

Anyone who has ever been scuba diving in a bull kelp forest
will tell you - the stuff does not
stand still. The marine aquatic plant consists of a long skinny-but-tough stem
(or stipe) that is anchored to the sea floor and topped with a hollow float,
from which a number of "leaves" (or blades) extend to the surface. The
result is a seaweed that extends vertically up through the water column,

bio-cell battery that breaks down paper in order to create power. A paper
battery sounds a little bit far-fetched, but the technology works, and could
potentially change how we power devices in the future. So how does it work? The
process starts with an enzyme suspended in water. When paper is dropped in, the
enzyme starts to break it down and produce glucose that can then be harvested
and used to power a battery. Sony described the break down process as similar to
how a termite might eat and break down wood.

assembling a functional solar cell with little more than a heat gun,
tape, and some binder clips. The paste is made from a mix of t-butanol,
water, and a mix of cadmium selenide with cadmium sulfide nanoparticles.
So far, the experimental devices are not nearly as efficient as standard
solar cells, but they were just developed. If the materials were slightly
less toxic, it might even be a project that kids could do at home."

Buffet’s purchase of a $2 billion solar power farm just weeks ago, BP’s
