Second Visit to Chukanov Quantum Energy LLC
(Follow-up from first visit.) by Sterling
Allan I made a second visit to Kiril Chukanov's place in Salt Lake City today, and again was impressed with the man and his technology. After 14 years of R&D, including time spent with Pons, Fleishman and Steve Jones; and several working "ball lightning" prototypes, Kiril is ready to go into the next phase of development and needs funding to do so. The purpose of the visit was to introduce another inventor to Kiril who has been working on related technology, proposing a mutually beneficial collaboration between their efforts, including a possible infusion of funding from the other inventor's contacts. It turns out that the other inventor does not have the level of funding that will be required for the next step, which is the creation of a 100 kW prototype, costing approximately $1 million, and taking approximately 1 year. I learned that the "100 kW" unit Kiril is talking about entails 100 kW of input with approximately 600 kW output estimated.
Kiril said that the 100 kW device would not require a containing element (e.g. quartz globe), but that it would exist suspended in the reaction chamber.
